Do you have little marks or irregular dents when you hang a heavy men’s shirt or men’s sweater on a hanger? You have shoulder nipples! Aaron Marino of alpha m. talks about how to avoid shoulder nipples and how to fix them.
Don’t hang heavy shirts or sweaters on hangers, period. Store sweaters by folding and hang on a pant hanger. All of Alpha’s sweaters are neatly folded and draped on a pant hanger. The more careful you are with the folding process, the less wrinkles.
Aaron demonstrates how to fold the sweater with alignment. And don’t use crappy hangers on long sleeved tee-shirts or shirts that are going to hang for a long period. The plain plastic hanger will do. The wire hanger has a more dramatic effect and shouldn’t be used. The wire hanger was built to mess up your shirts. They aren’t as wide as the shirt which adds tension and pull. The shoulder nipple develops. The plastic hanger has more of a gradual slope and won’t damage your shirt.
