Essentially, the Trivago travel company has been using this guy who looks like just he woke-up from a three day bender. Alpha gets what they were trying to do: a worldly traveler that is casual cool. But unless their travels include a bunch of youth hostels, they totally missed the mark because Trivago Guy looks like he smells like cigarettes and cheap scotch. Aaron Marino of alpha m. publishes the video about Trivago Guy, ranting about what was the company thinking?!
Next thing Alpha knew is that Trivago opened a contest to makeover the Trivago Guy. All you had to do is to submit your outfit, and if they narrow you down to the top six, the contest is opened to the public. This is so sweet! Alpha submitted his outfit (button-up, v-neck sweater, dark charcoal pants) that is casual cool in a worldly way, and he chose the colors representing the company’s colors.
