Adjust to sets and reps to your experience and level. Use a weight you can control. Rest 30 - 45 seconds between sets so that you can work the muscles as hard as you can in the shortest amount of time as possible- you will gain function, strength, and endurance. With each successive set, you will do less and less - it's all about contraction and getting those muscles to work. If you haven't tried condensing and making the rest shorter, your muscles will grow like you haven't ever experienced before!
