Shoelaces | Tying and Replacing

Lacing Methods
This video is inspired by a viewer, John (aka Mr. Laces, as in Shoelaces). John shared a website with Aaron regarding how to tie men's shoes. Aaron Marino of alpha m. discusses the options of lacing shoelaces as well as the condition of the shoelaces.

One thing you have to pay attention to is the condition of your shoelaces. Regardless how you tie the laces, replace the shoelaces every 6-months. The waxy layer will come off and appear beat-up. Replacing the laces spruces up your shoe and only costs a few bucks. Paying attention to your shoelaces is a subtle detail that truly enhances a man's image.

Add Comfort to Men's Dress Shoes | Sneaker Inserts  -
June 1, 2012
Aaron Marino of alpha m. has a great idea to add comfort to your men's dress shoes. Take the inserts out of your old sneakers before donating your running shoes. Add the sneaker inserts to the bottom of your dress shoes. When Aaron buys dress shoes, he buys them a half size bigger knowing he's going to add the sneaker insert. Walking around is more comfortable. If you are on your feet all day, it'Read More»

Here's how: Make sure you work on a surface that you can get glue on. Squirt the glue on the area that you want to fix. Press the location together. Wipe the excess of glue. Secure with binder clips for a few hours. WheRead More»

I’m often asked about shoes and find many of us don’t know the different types of shoes by name; making it difficult to identify them when shopping or coordinating an outfit.  Now a day, it’s not always easy to label shoes because so many styles have been blended together; confusing us with hybrids. Still, most shoes are distinct enough to recognize without too much guessing involved.  HopRead More»

Feet: something our entire body depends on, yet, are too often taken for granted.  Men, especially, tend to ignore these invaluable body parts that are the foundation of which we stand.  Think about it… your feet carry and support every pound of your body weight.  That’s a big job! It’s not until there’s a problem that most men pay attention and take care of their feet the way they deseRead More»
