Laundering clothes other than suits and sport coats will work fine. The options for suits and sport coats are enzyme deodorizing sprays. Used car dealers use enzyme sprays to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of cars. The enzyme neutralizes all odors. In a week, the item(s) will smell new. Also, do not get anything that has a scent in the enzyme spray.
