Creative and well thought-out tattoos are great; but negatives need to be considered. Aaron Marino of alpha m. talks about his tattoos as well as recommends the best route to take if you are interested in getting a tattoo.
As far as men's image is concerned, a well designed and thought-out tattoo looks great. However, before you run out and get one, sit down and think about it for approximately 6-months because it's permanent. Getting a tattoo at the spur-of-the-moment is the worst thing to do.
Also do not get them anywhere you can't cover them with reasonable clothing. The tattoo needs to be covered-up if necessary. Do not get one on neck, face, or hands, period. And always remember: image is everything and you have 10-second to make a good impression.
