Gynecomastia aka Man Boobs or Moobs

Aaron Marino of alpha m. discusses who is affected by gynecomastia, what are the causes, and some recommendations.

Anabolic steroids (androgens) can raise the testosterone levels, and as a result, estrogen levels rise. Hard breast tissue can develop behind nipples. It also happens to young men and elderly. Young men can have increased breast tissue from increased estrogen levels or being overweight. There are many degrees and variations from puffy nipples to breast development. Typically by puberty, it subsides. This is definitely an emotional issue but is treatable.

If you are a teenager, the doctor can increase testosterone levels. If you overweight, simply losing the weight will correct the issue. Weight training can build muscle behind the breast tissue. You can also minimize look by wearing a tight tank under clothes. Surgery is occasionally required.
