In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro talks about how he's been on Shark Tank twice, Fear Factor once, and VH1 Glam God with Vivica A. Fox. Alpha says he's done some dumb things in his life, and VH1 Glam God was one of the dumbest. It aired 08.21.08
Why Appear on Glam God?
When he was on Fear Factor, he had his fitness centers. Thereafter, he started alpha m. Image Consulting and to get the name out there, Alpha tried to find a reality show. He found the Glam God casting, which was looking for stylists. This was perfect, he thought, because TV would get his name out there and make alpha m. Image Consulting a household name.
The casting was not for male stylists however. It was for people who worked with women. He read everything he could about female style, makeup, and hair. At the casting, he went over the top and 'bullshitted' the audition. If you bring a big personality with reality TV, everything you say and know doesn't matter. After the audition, he started studying women's styling even harder.
The Reality Show Experience
He got on Glam God, went to California, and started living in the house. He was nervous about leaving home but was up to the challenge. Right away, he realized was over his head! Everyone got wasted, and then Vivica A. Fox arrived. Team leaders were chosen who picked teams, and Alpha was picked LAST.
The first competition was styling a black dress. At the end of the time limit, the models got judged. The two bottom scoring teams were up for elimination, and the weakest link was then let go. Alpha's team was at the bottom, and he was chosen the 'weakest link'. He was not the Glam God.
The Birth of the Alpha M Consulting YouTube Channel
One of the worst things about this experience, his credit card was stolen. A positive thing happened though -- he started posting videos on YouTube. So, due to Glam God, his dreams were made true by guiding him to start filming videos! Subscribe to Alpha M. on YouTube
