In this video men’s style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro feels he’s not super qualified about discussing teen issues. Things have changed since he was a teen. That being said, Alpha feels that if a teen needs some perspective, he will help as much as he can.
The teen viewer is in high school and is popular. He is doing things that he thinks he shouldn’t do. He is worried if he stops the destructive stuff his friends are doing that he’ll be affected socially. He wants to set a good example but still maintain his social status. Alpha thinks he should worry about the friends to a degree.
Leading by example, especially if you’re popular, is the single best thing you can do to affect change in other people. The herd mentality rears its ugly head in social circle, but if one person sets a good example, people will respect that person more and look up to him/her. Some people will be a little ‘weird’ about your change, but that’s something with which you have to contend.
You are setting the groundwork and framework for your future. It’s rare that someone stands up for what’s right versus what’s easy. Fear of ridicule and not being accepted can cloud judgment. If you’re at a point that you’re concerned and you know you shouldn’t be doing these things, you should do something about it. If you set that example, it’s rare and Alpha is incredibly proud of you!
