Alpha M. Top Ten Time Management Tips | Prioritizing and Being Productive

Do you know what the #1 reason that people give for not exercising? Not having enough time! It seems like we are getting busier as a society. You'd think with technology advancements we'd have more time, but technology is actually eating-up our time!  We can't add more hours to the day, but we can be more productive.

Prioritizing is necessary to not get overwhelmed and unproductive. Alpha has developed these tips over the past years which have allowed him to be more productive:

  1. Wake up earlier - you will be amazed at how much more productive you are by even getting up a single hour earlier! That extra hour is a perfect time to workout, answer emails, schedule & plan your day, and more.
  2. Plan your day - make a list of what you need to accomplish. Roll over items that didn't get completed to the next day.
  3. Schedule ME time - take time for you.
  4. Limit social media participation - use that time for other things that are more important.
  5. Don't over-commit yourself
  6. It's okay to say 'no' - it's easier said than done, but you have to protect you.
  7. Be realistic - be realistic with how much time you have versus how much time it should take to accomplish. Things take longer than you think.
  8. Prioritize your tasks - for example, Alpha NEEDS his coffee #1.
  9. Go off the grid - unplug ... the world will not end.
  10. Get enough sleep - Alpha gets a solid 7 hours minimum. Your body and mind needs sufficient rest. Get to bed at a decent time.
