Your Suit
A wedding is a perfect time to wear a perfect tailored suit. You can never go wrong with a medium gray, navy, charcoal, or pin-stripe suit. If in warm weather, tan or light gray are great suit colors. If you don’t have a suit, you can go with flat front slacks and sport coat or V-neck sweater.
Devil in the Details
With a wedding, the devil is in the details unlike a funeral. The only restriction is that you must love it! Shirt can be white or blue but that’s boring. Go adventurous with brighter colors. Your tie should be subdued if the shirt is bold. If you are going solid with the shirt, the tie can be bolder. If you don’t want to go tie, go cool sassy style- throw in a pocket square.
With belt and shoes, give brown a chance. It adds a richness that nobody will be rocking. Wear underwear (the nicest you have) and wear socks as an accessory. Wear a pair of socks that match with shirt, pocket square, or tie.
