Proper Funeral Attire
The sad reality is that people die. Eventually someone you know and love will check-out to the big wardrobe in the sky.
Aaron Marino of alpha m. was thinking that funerals are depressing enough. He hopes to brighten the mood of this grave gathering.
- Suit: charcoal or darker gray is good; however, stay away from tan.
- Suit pattern: solid, pin-stripes, window pane are appropriate.
- If you don’t have a suit, wear a nice pair of pants.
- Footwear: simple and conservative black or brown shoes are the best.
- Shirts: you can add a pop of color with a light blue shirt (stay away from patterns).
- Ties: simple and subdued with solid black or navy. If you wear a pattern, wear simple and subtle with a muted color palette.
- Hair: tame your mane and go more conservative.
- Cologne: avoid it as you are going to be hugging and embracing.
- Take a travel pack of Kleenex in your pocket for yourself and others.
