Protein Powder vs Meal Replacement

December 13, 2011
Aaron Marino of alpha m. presents nutrition and calorie comparisons for protein powder (PP) and meal replacements (MR).

The PP is a supplement for the every day diet. The MR is protein but also carb, fat, and higher in calories. PP is about 80 -100 calories whereas MR is 300 – 400 calories.

The bars are MR and between 300 – 500 calories with high fat, high protein, and high carb. MR bars are replacing a meal, not as a snack.
