Do you have somebody in your life that isn’t taking care of their weight or diet? A lot of times we have people in our lives that aren’t taking care of themselves, but we don’t want to hurt their feelings or sound preachy.
Aaron Marino of alpha m. says there are ways to approach the subject tactfully.
- First of all, they know that they are out-of-shape, over-weight, and that their diet is less than stellar. Your encouragement may be what it takes for them to take their first step. Encourage them gently and delicately.
- Second, consider the relationship that you have with them. Alpha gives an example of his friendship with Matt. Alpha also gives an example and talks about his parents. Weight is always a touchy situation regardless but give them something actionable and measurable.
- Third, be ready for their excuses with answers to their objections.
- Keep in mind that you must be willing to give them solutions, ideas, encouragement, and love along the way. Be persistent.
