Acne and pimples suck at any age. For some of us, chronic acne or monster zits can leave marks or scars. Most of us don’t want scars on our face. Aaron Marino of alpha m. covers five home remedies to treat zits and marks left behind.
If you have severe acne, there are more substantial treatments that require a trip to the dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Laser resurfacing, microdermabrasion, and fillers are discussed.
Really cool home treatments that are natural and effective include:
- Rub a potato on your zit or scar. The discoloration will evaporate because of the potato’s ability to bleach scars.
- Mix baking soda with water to make a paste. Use on the pimple and scar and leave for 4 minutes. Wash off with warm water.
- Tea Tree Oil can be dabbed on the pimple or scar. It kills bacteria.
- Honey is a natural antiseptic and helps the healing process by massaging on the spot.
- Rub a lemon on the effected area. The lemon kills bacteria, helps promote healing, and increases fading.
