Question #1 Fighting
Alpha has never been in a fight but addresses a viewer question about fighting. He reads the viewer email who ends up with a broken finger fending off attackers. The attackers are beat-up pretty bad, and he feels badly about it. When is it acceptable to fight and when should you walk away? Fighting (physical violence) should be the last resort. There are questions not addressed in this email- like why was this guy getting his ass kicked in the first place? If you are hanging out with people who are needing to be defended or you find yourself in these altercations, there is something that needs to be addressed because this is not normal. If someone is being helped, absolutely help the person. Do what you can. Physical violence is the last option, however.
Question #2 Friend Hooking Up with an Ex
A viewer emails Alpha about how his best friend hooked-up with his ex. He wonders if he should be mad at his friend or should he try to get his ex back? Alpha says the only reason he’s contemplating these questions is because the friend hooked up with the ex. It’s like you’re a little kid and it’s your toy– you set it down when you’re bored with it. When another kid comes and picks it up, you decide you want your toy back. The only reason you’re upset is because someone else is interested in your old toy. He should have cleared it with you first, but don’t sweat it. It’s okay. Let him do his thing. Focus on you and work past this. We all have been there. In fifteen years, you won’t remember either of them. Time will heal your wound. Move forward, onward, and upward with someone else.
