Four years ago, it happened! A recommended video popped up on YouTube, and Alpha saw Antonio Centeno. Not only was Alpha’s competition created, but he now had a nemesis. Guess what happened next? Antonio reached out to Alpha! In this video men’s style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of IAmAlphaM, AaronMarino, and Pete & Pedro discusses how Alpha and Antonio have embraced competition.
When Antonio reached out, he invited Alpha to the VidCon event in California. Alpha thought that Antonio couldn’t be ‘that nice’ but went ahead to meet him. Alpha got so nervous! He was ‘star struck’. They hung out, and a connection happened right away.
As an entrepreneur, he thought of the competition as the ‘enemy’ although Antonio had a different perspective. Antonio said he & Alpha aren’t the same and thought that they could grow this market together. He said that ‘the whole’ is more powerful than ‘individually’. This had been missing for Alpha. Additionally, Alpha and Antonio have the same passion as well as the ‘hate’ on YouTube.
The meet-up in California with Antonio changed Alpha’s world. Additionally, they started StyleCon with the men’s lifestyle influencers. The relationship is win-win. They connect and support each other, and they share victories. Further, they have common interests. Due to Alpha and Antonio not really having connections in the areas they reside, being friends allows them to talk about YouTube stats and numbers.
Embrace competition and find common ground. If you can work together, you can raise each other.
