What is Respect?
Respect is defined as a deep admiration for somebody’s ability, quality, or achievement. We respect people because of something they’ve done. The kind of respect Alpha is looking for is a respect where people take him seriously and treat him well. One issue that young people have is that older people see younger people as ‘tech-addicted narcissists‘. But don’t sweat what the masses think about the masses. It’s is on a case-by-case individual basis. You have 100% control on how the world views you.
Live with Integrity and Purpose
Nobody owes you respect! You earn respect with your actions. Once you earn someone’s respect, the hard part starts because you have to keep it. You have to live with integrity and purpose. You may even have to earn some respect back at some point. Further, there are a$$holes out there that won’t respect you regardless what you do– get rid of them!
How to Earn Respect
- Look respectable – your image is your personal brad
- Act respectable – use manners, have confident body language, shake hands properly
- Respectably communicate – speak like a gentleman
- Be a man of your word – don’t lie, cheat, or steal. If you give your word, do it
- Try your best – try your best daily with everything or else why do it?
