Having trouble in the bedroom?  It could be your skinny jeans… or not!  Aaron received an email from a friend in India, claiming his doctor told him that fitted pants can cause impotence, and he wanted Alpha’s opinion.  Alpha, certain this was not the case, did some serious research on the subject to find the answer to this age old question.  Ok, so maybe he only Googled the information, but what he found should bring a sigh of relief to all those wearing slim fitted pants and skinny jeans!

So, do today’s fitted fashions actually cause impotence?  For those of you not familiar with the term, “impotence”, it basically means your wiener won’t get hard.  Obviously, that’s not the medical definition, but you get the idea.  There are multiple reasons for impotence, but in most cases it involves low blood flow to the penis.  In his search, Aaron came across various reasons for low blood flow and impotence: age, compromised health, medication – specifically blood pressure medications, sedatives and antidepressants.  In young men, impotence is often related to psychological reasons: stress, fatigue, depression, feelings of sexual inadequacy and in some cases, sexual abuse during childhood.  Fortunately, most of these issues are treatable… but what about skinny jean induced impotence?  Well, you’ll be relieved to hear that nowhere in his extensive research did Alpha find any medical explanation that supported the doctor’s claim of “fitted pants impotence”.  Now, if you’re a serious bike rider who puts hours in on one of those hard, pointy, uncomfortable bike seats every day, you might want to reconsider what you’re sitting on… if your performance in the bedroom isn’t as good as on your bike.  The “taint” or “perineum”, if you’re going to get technical, is the area between the anus and the scrotum.  The perineum takes a beating when it sits upon a hard bike seat for long periods of time, so if you’re experiencing difficulty with erections, consider a new seat.

More of Alpha’s research supported the need for comfortable fitting underwear that doesn’t confine the boys, so they can move away from the body when hot and closer when cold.  But, still, no scientific studies supporting the doctor’s skinny jean theory could be found.  The closest medical study Alpha found was from a doctor who studied a hundred men who wore skinny jeans.  She concluded that 30% of these men think looser fitting pants are more comfortable than skinny jeans.  Wow, that’s groundbreaking news!  Well, to all the skinny jean fans, Doctor Alpha has concluded, after scores of research, that wearing tight fitting pants does not interfere with getting a boner!
