Are you confident? You’re working on it? We’re all working on it to some degree. Aaron Marino of alpha m. says that the ability to laugh at yourself is vital to the confidence equation. Can you honestly say that you can laugh at yourself or do you take yourself too seriously?
A lot of times the fear of drawing attention to ourselves prevents us from putting our guard down. Taking yourself less seriously is a gift. Understand who you are and have a strong self and realize you are not perfect. You are beautiful because you are not perfect.
You are perfect with your imperfections and being able to laugh at yourself is something to strive for. Just being okay with making mistakes and acknowledging you are not perfect is a great thing. Everyone will make dumb-ass mistakes- embrace it. You cannot experience confidence until you can laugh at yourself and not take yourself so seriously.
Embrace your shortcomings. It doesn’t mean you are any less of a person, of a man, or confident. Commit yourself to the best person you can be and bring value to others. Laughing at yourself makes life that much sweeter.
