Avocado the Simple Superfood | Healthy Eating

An avocado has about 300 calories with 77% fat (mono-saturated fat, “good fat) and 20 essential vitamins and nutrients.  Be conscious of the calories, however. Avocado is great on sandwiches and salads as well as guacamole.

He demonstrates preparing an avocado. When picking out an avocado, select a ripe one that is a little soft to the touch with darker skin. The key to storing an avocado is keeping it airtight in plastic wrap and in a refrigerator.
